I am certainly very far from most of those who are celebrating Chinese New Year. As I may have mentioned in this blog, Chinese New Year is one of my favorite festivals of the year in Hong Kong. I love the new year food and I have very sweet memories having fun with my cousins and visiting my relatives during this special festival.
This is actually my 4th Chinese New Year far away from my home. Last year I had the incredible chance to have holidays in France at exactly the same moment as Chinese New Year, so I was able to go back to Hong Kong. But it's very rare that the two countries share the same holidays at this period. From France, I wish those who are celebrating CNY Kung Hay Fat Choi, good health, plenty of success and joy in the year of the Monkey to come!
My dear host family, Mark and Odile are now in Paris with me. I am so happy to see them again. I always feel very comfortable and happy being and talking with them. They so kindly brought some CNY decorations from Hong Kong and decorated the front door of the apartment!!
