So, yes! This is my look recently in the ballet La Sylphide. As one of the "witches", I only dance for around two minutes at the beginning of Act 2, in this costume and mask. Technically it is not challenging at all, and frankly, with the obscure lighting, the smoke, and this costume, people can't really see how we dance! So zero pressure. I start preparing only at the end of Act 1. I put on my costume, go down to the make-up studio, get my neck and my arms/hands painted with grey, black and dark brown colors, put on my mask and my wig, and I'm ready! |

8 students in total got accepted, two more got accepted on the second day, including one Korean female dancer who was ranked 1st on the second day! The Asian community is growing in the Paris Opera!
I took these pictures because I think these moments are very worth-capturing. I remember very well how overjoyed I was when I learned that I became part of this prestigious company. That day stayed the most beautiful of my life so far. In my career whenever I feel exhausted, not motivated, unsure about my career, I would think of this day, and it would make me feel passionate again.
