Here's some videos about our production:
This morning, I woke up early for the first morning class at Opera Garnier as usual. I was feeling so well during the class that I decided to continue with the second class. When we almost finished the barre work, the fire alarm started ringing. "Oh no!!! Let's finish the barre!" the dancers said, thinking it was just an evacuation exercise. Finally and luckily, we exited the theater by the staircases. Once we went down about two floors, we started to notice the smoke. "Oh! It's not an exercise! There's actually fire!" Finally, the firemen managed to control the fire and we returned to the theater for rehearsals. We stayed in front of the backstage door for around half an hour though! Luckily we are in summer and that it was not too cold outside! A few days ago, I went to see the opera La Traviata of Verdi at Opera Bastille! I had a great time and enjoyed Verdi's music so much. After the show, I went to the backstage and thought "How lucky I am to be able to have a close look at the sets in the backstage! In a few days I will know my results for the Baccalaureat exams. I am feeling pretty nervous for that. I really have to learn quickly all the spots of ballet Brahms Shoenberg (Balanchine) too. I am supposed to be understudying this ballet but I never got the chance to go to those rehearsals. Still 8 performances to go! Being in the second cast of Justin Peck's new ballet (Entre Chien et Loup), I will be performing at the Opera Bastille on 6th, 8th, 11th and 14th. And I will soon be with my family in Hong Kong! Here's some videos about our production: Can you see me there!? HAHA I am the one at the back with black t shirt and grey pants :D
