This weekend, except the strawberry tart, my host family made some pistachio-flavored macaroons with a new recipe. The result was excellent! These are the best macaroons that I have never had! I grabbed the chance to take photos and videos during the making process and I will upload them soon on my macaroons page. I will try this recipe out when I will be home!

I went to visit Dior's workshop this weekend with Marie, the daughter of my new host family. It was an exceptional day called "Journee Particuliere" in French, organised by LVMH. During the weekend, the big french brands like Dior, Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Guerlain...... and a lot more, organize an open day to invite anyone to their workshop/ factory. Entry is free, and we grabbed the chance to go and see Dior's.
However, with no doubt, there were a HUGE queue. We arrived early in the morning in Paris, and joined the queue at 9:00 am. There were already quite a lot of people, and more and more people came afterwards. We waited for 3 hours and a half and entered the workshop at around 12:30 pm. Indeed, it was REALLY impressive. They were very nice and they were all handsome and beautiful, in elegant suits. We have seen every kind of products of Dior: from suits to perfumes, they demonstrated how they are fabricated, most of the time by hands. And the quality of every product was very impressive. Everything was in perfect precision. We were a cold while we were queuing up, and standing there for 3 hours was not easy......... But when we got out from the workshop, with a little present from Dior, we told ourselves that it was worthy. We returned home with a great perfumed smell and a big smile. This weekend, I did a strawberry fruit tart with my host family. It was VERY GOOD!!!!~ I love fruit tarts. I will definitely try to make one in Hong Kong!!!~
I feel horrible that everything would finally comes to an end, when my lovely watch finally does...... Last year when I return to Hong Kong during the Christmas holiday, I was extremely excited and I really couldn't wait to see my parents again in just a few minutes when I was in the Hong Kong airport. However, when I finally met my parents in the "Arrival" area, I learnt the bad news of my aunt: she had breast cancer...... When I finally returned to home, my aunt, whose face changed obviously because of her chemotherapy treatment, gave me a watch that she had bought for a long time: "In fact I bought it a long time ago, I can finally give it to you!" This scene leaves in my mind till now...... Everything would come to an end, oh! the frightful universal fact of the existence! The last present that my aunt has given me is finally dead. My new watch, which was given by my old family replaced my old one. I used to wear it in elegant occasions, now I wear it everyday. How I love this pretty watch!! The pointers of a watch move constantly, they don't slow down, and they don't accelerate. My life passes like a river flows. I'm constantly growing up and stepping away from my sweet childhood. Mummy and daddy used to come back home very early and have fun and take care of us; we used to make puddings and jelly cups together on Sunday; used to enjoy ourselves all day long; Daddy used to smile and enjoy his work....... When I was still a child, my life was colorful and full of joy. Death and worries seemed to be very far away and time seemed to passed very slowly...... I didn't know that I would grow up and throw my cute dolls away one day........ My river of life is flowing faster and faster, really have to grab and treasure this moment, find my happiness. I would never know the direction of this river, I would never know what will happen tomorrow........
