Just went to this opera - Gianni Schicchi (Puccini) yesterday at Opera Bastille. A short Opera with superb humour and music, in which there is a famous aria of Lauretta (O Mio Babbino Caro) "My Dear Daddy". It is sung by Lauretta after tensions between her father Schicchi and the family of Rinuccio, the boy she loves, have reached a breaking point that threatens to separate her from Rinuccio.
