writing this on the stage of the Palais Garnier, behind the sets of the coming production of La Fille Mal Gardée. I am an understudy, so I am only waiting behind the sets, which are huge and leave us no way to follow what’s going on in front.
I have been Colas (main male role) when I was dancing in Hong Kong, of course it was not a professional show so the version was easier. Being able to see world class artists in this production makes me happy enough. It is always great to work in a theatre, to be able to admire different beautiful costumes and sets when we move from the studio to the stage, it is exciting!
