Time passed by so quickly, I now have lived in Paris for 5 years already. I am enjoying Parisian life more and more. During my day offs, I love going to museums, exhibitions, concerts, operas, musicals, and other cultural activities. Even on my own, I enjoy the loneliness and the freedom.
In terms of dancing, it has been a wonderful experience. The adaptation to a new phase of my life went smoothly to me. I have participated in one of my favorite productions with the Paris Opera Ballet, in particular La Bayadere and Romeo and Juliet, not to mention all the other exciting trips to different cities and even in Switzerland for gala performances. Yes, I am really there! My dream came true.
However, this year has been another tough year for me. Having fixed the ambitious objective to pass the baccalaureat since the beginning of the year, I used every moment of break/ rest time to study. What a rewarding ending to have passed it with a grade! What to do with my day offs/ breaks next year? Going to more exhibitions? Fix an other goal for myself?
This season 2015/2016 is also marked with different terrorist attacks here in France....... These tragedies left me terribly shocked and speechless, changed my vision of the mankind. If my grandma said "Everything happens for a reason". Did these tragedies happened for a reason? Were all the victims meant to die? Anyway, may God bless this world, this mankind, which seems to be turning bad to me.
So, now, I can't wait to take a BREAK from all these, to get myself close to my family, to free-up all my mental and physical tensions during a month. After this sumemr holiday, this long-waited holiday in Hong Kong that I hope would be a restful and enjoyable one, I shall continue my adventures in my favorite ballet company. As many have asked me, "So Chun Wing, what's your new goal now?" I would say, my goal would not be necessarily climbing up the hierarchy of the Paris Opera, or becoming an Etoile (principal dancer), but to enjoy my career as much as possible, I'd leave the rest to my destiny, I am confident that it would lead me where I am supposed to be.
Goodbye Paris for now, see you in a month!
