At around 5pm, I started to feel nervous, which surprised me. I didn't expect myself to feel that nervous, after all it was a relatively easy task comparing to other galas that I had done. Despite the fact that I felt well prepared for this short variation, I really wanted those one minute 30 seconds to be perfect. And my solo was the first piece in the program. Instead of waiting the others until the show finishes, I planned to go back by train. |
I rushed to the train station which was at 15 min's walk from the theatre to catch my train, and I saw: "next departure: 6h05 am" .............. Okay.... so I had to go back to the theatre. I certainly have a problem with trains recently. That's when I took these beautiful photos of Chartres and the theatre.
But it was not a bad idea going back with the other dancers. It gave me the chance to talk to other dancers from other companies, to other people who are working in the same dance world as me. I enjoyed meeting other people of the dance field very much and finally this is what I treasured the most in this gala, among others.
